At TaskRabbit, we’re constantly trying to make our homes a place we love spending time every day. That means we’re always on the lookout for home inspiration, whether it’s a small tweak that makes all the difference or a big renovation to start afresh. Most often, we find them from you. Here are some of our favorite home projects from the TaskRabbit community this week.

HANDYMAN

The Oscar for best task this week goes to Tasker Ted D., who built a ten-foot-long bar table (left) using iron gas pipes and reclaimed wood from a 200+ year-old barn. “I started in December when we picked the wood and had the mill glue and cure the boards for 30 days, then milled it to our dimensions,” Ted says. Next up: oiling the mounted slab once his client decides on a color.

Fellow Tasker Aaron E. also did some work with wood, cutting these tree trunks into centerpieces for a nonprofit event.

MOUNTING

Tasker Mohsen G.’s beautifully mounted shelves deserved the spotlight, while Barnaby D. delighted clients with a precisely mounted gallery wall and a stunning shelf for shades.

ASSEMBLYEfficiency is the name of the game for Roger C. as he disassembled, moved, and reassembled a classic antique gaming machine. Meanwhile, Brian D. turned his client’s living room into a dream library with this custom built bookcase.

DECORATING

Tasker Mia I. helped a client surprise his love for Valentine’s Day, while Karimah G. lined the halls with festive cheer for a party.
