The Year of the (Task)Rabbit

Gung Hay Fat Choy! Indeed it is a happy (Chinese) new year for us here at TaskRabbit.  We are celebrating the beginning of this auspicious year by launching our RabbitRewards program, a customer loyalty plan that allows our customers to collect “Carrots” for every Task complete. For every 3 Tasks complete, a customer will receive a Task free…up to 2 free Tasks per month. Click here to learn more.

We, at TaskRabbit, are dubbing 2011 the “Year of Collaborative Consumption,” which describes the rapid rise in swapping, sharing, and bartering facilitated through the latest web-based technologies and marketplaces.  As people continue to embrace collaborative consumption and service networking in particular, 2011 will be an auspicious year for TaskRabbit and its customers.

The Year of the Rabbit is associated with some interesting characteristics, which bode well for TaskRabbit and its community of Senders and Runners:

  • Calmness: Rabbit years are typically relatively peaceful years. This is fortuitous as TaskRabbit is dedicated to ensuring that its time-strapped customers have a tranquil 2011 by providing a forum to outsource their Tasks and errands, like weekly laundry and grocery shopping. TaskRabbit’s team of Runners help customers knock Tasks off their To-do lists so they can spend more time doing what they enjoy, like hitting a yoga class.
  • Collaboration: Rabbit years are historically good ones for establishing partnerships.  TaskRabbit is on a mission to ensure that 2011 proves no different. TaskRabbit’s customers have the benefit of collaborating with our 300+ Runners and tapping into the skills, knowledge and know-how of this community.

Here’s to a fanTASKic new year!
