TaskRabbit Debuts On-Demand Delivery Service In San Francisco

Desperate for a cup of Philz Coffee but don’t have a location near the office? Craving a sandwich from Deli Board or Ike’s Place but can’t bear the thought of the long line? Forget to pick up a bottle of wine for that dinner party tonight? Well, we’ve got you covered.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new on-demand delivery feature, Deliver Now. Our first-ever app extension, Deliver Now provides TaskPosters with on-demand delivery of anything in San Francisco on weekdays between 9am and 7pm. Deliver Now is available to all TaskRabbit members within the San Francisco city limits with the most recent version of the iPhone app.

So, how does it work?

Simply launch the TaskRabbit iPhone app, tap the loveable little lifesaver on the Vespa, and tell her what you need! From there, your Task will be assigned automatically and your delivery will be on its way — all for an introductory flat rate of $10. You can even track your TaskRabbit’s journey in real-time, without ever leaving the app.

As TaskRabbit continues to grow and expand, we are focused on building cool new features on our platform. Our first focus is on immediate Task fulfillment for delivery Tasks with Deliver Now.  But, Deliver Now is just the beginning. Look for additional features and extensions coming soon.

P.S. — Craving some Deliver Now in your city? Just fill out the form below and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s headed your way!

Great idea – though how about an app for all the Android users in SF.

      Hi Andy,

We’re working on it! Stay tuned.

will they deliver furniture or bigger items or just small things? What’s the limit?

    • K. Tighe says

      Hi David,

Thanks for asking! Deliver Now is intended only for quick pickup and delivery Tasks within the city limits of San Francisco. Furniture Delivery is a bit more complicated (and heavy!), so should be posted as a regular Task like always.
