Meet the Team: Lauren S.

Marketing Manager Lauren S. is a Virginia native and puppy junkie who functions as TaskRabbit’s resident canine cuddler. A Cross-Country Rescue Mission

We talk a lot about how neighborly we are here at TaskRabbit and every now and then we hear a story that proves it in a big way. When our Director of UX, Sarah H., heard her sister was stranded in downtown Boston with no wallet and a nearly dead phone, she was worried. A continent away in San Francisco, there wasn’t very much she could do to help out. Then she remembered: She has neighbors in Boston. A whole lot of neighbors. Sarah posted a Task. It was picked up right away and, within 30 minutes, Boston TaskRabbit Christie G. had located her sister, given her some cash to get on a train home, then texted Sarah to confirm the rescue mission was a success. “I’m so glad I was able to help,” Sarah told us. “I know what it’s like to lose my wallet or drop my keys down the elevator shaft. I love that TaskRabbit made it possible for me to reach out to my sister who’s clear across the country.”

A self-described nerd and Mexican Coke addict, Senior Systems Engineer Evan T. keeps our tech infrastructure in tip-top shape. A recent transplant from New York City to San Francisco, Operations Associate SheShe H. loves city life, live music, people watching, and helping the TaskRabbit marketplace run smooth like butter. Born and raised in Oakland, Lead Developer for Business Services Steve H. loves everything East Bay. He enjoys snowboarding, hiking, coding, surfing, wakeboarding, and keeping the TaskRabbit kitchen stocked with homegrown tomatoes. Self-described as “double the dose in half the time,” Director of People Jabu D. is a chatty Berkeley lady with a knack for craft and an awesome dog named Biscuits Jackson. When life gives her lemons, Product Manager Kaitlyn T. grabs some gin and mixes up a cocktail (most likely a French 75 or a Corpse Reviver #2). On the weekends you’ll find her exploring San Francisco by bicycle, hacking on a side project, or challenging friends to Boggle and Bananagrams. Before joining TaskRabbit, she had adventures working in an oncology lab, a pottery museum, a civil rights think tank in Hong Kong, a political consulting firm, an ad agency, and a startup that builds online fundraising tools.
