#TaskerTuesday – Reginald W.

Human connections are at the heart of our overall platform experience. We’re proud to offer Taskers not just a means to build their businesses, but also a means to make positive impacts on people’s lives and connect with Clients beyond the requirements of the task.

reginald prof picReginald W. from New York is a shining example. He had the opportunity as a Tasker to turn a Personal Assistant task into an experience he would never forget. Instead of meeting at the Client’s house, Reginald met the Client at her recently deceased mother’s apartment. Reginald, whose father was very sick at the time, stayed and visited with the Client for over two hours after finishing the task. They talked through their grief and pain—and built a friendship based on mutual understanding.

“One of my most rewarding tasks was when I was hired to help a lady clean up and do some work in her recently deceased mother’s apartment. She originally hired me to ship some things that didn’t work, but after i finished the job, we sat and talked for over 2 hours.”

“It was a very healing process for both of us,” he recently told our Tasker Community team. “She insisted on paying me for the time I was there, even though we were just talking. These are the kinds of experiences that are worth more than my hourly rate.”

Life comes with its ups and downs, so we always encourage everyone in our community – on all three sides of the platform – to do their part to brighten someone’s day. According to Reginald, this experience working through the grieving process with a Client was one of his most rewarding tasks.

We love hearing stories like Reginald’s. Tasker & Client stories like this make us excited to come to work every day and continue to improve our platform to the best it can be. The more people we bring to it, the more connections like this we’ll help make!
