TaskRabbit Launches in Chicago

The last several months at TaskRabbit have been – for lack of a better word – busy. In June, we were thrilled to launch TaskRabbit in Los Angeles and Orange County, closely followed by the release of our native iPhone and iPod Touch app in July. While most of the world opted for a vacation in August, we decided to launch TaskRabbit in New York City instead. That’s a lot of activity for a three month period, but why stop there? We’ve got some great news: TaskRabbit is coming to Chicago!

You heard right, windy city. TaskRabbit continues its national expansion by launching in your city today, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Chicago is a hub of innovation, full of brilliant, hard-working, people who will bring the TaskRabbit community a versatile range of skills that will help busy neighbors put a little extra time back in their lives. After taking a look at our city map, as we always do pre-launch, it was more than evident Chicago made the most sense as our next step. Chicagoans are united, proud and determined – an ideal community for TaskRabbit to flourish.

We look forward to bringing Chicago our service platform that has been enhanced from lessons learned in Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, and New York City. We are thrilled to call Chicago home. So if you’re a Chicago resident with too much to do, get started by posting a Task at http://www.TaskRabbit.com.

Happy posting, Chicago!

  1. I am a very good task doer. My husband and son are carpenters we have had a family business for 30 yrs but now…….It is the same old story the economy. We are always looking for work .Nothing too small or too big.
As for me I am a doer, I took care of our son for 3 1/2 years and am used to doing things for others. I would love to make some extra money but would also enjoy helping others. Thanks Trisha Kot

Oh by the way we are in the southern suburbs of Chicago, close to Joliet Homer Glen/ Lockport Area.

  2. With the Myrtle Beach SC. area loaded with retirees I think it would be a great place to start this service. I would help but would not do it all you would need many more people involved because the need is so great.
