Give Mom a Break: Gift Ideas and a Mother’s Day Giveaway!

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. And the race is on to find the perfect gift. What will it be this year? Jewelry, flowers, breakfast in bed? Oh, sounds so familiar! This year, instead of defaulting to the standard gifts for mom, let’s give her what she really wants… some TIME!

Time to do whatever she wants- time to veg, time to think, time to go to the gym, time to simply do nothing. Time not to worry about the laundry, grocery shopping, or cooking dinner- the things that consume every other day.

Here are some great gift ideas- things that you can do on Mother’s Day so mom gets some time back in her day:

  1. Kick Her Out of the Kitchen
Moms spend an inordinate amount of time in the kitchen cooking and cleaning. Give her a day off and offer to make her a special Mother’s Day meal. And yes, you need to do the dishes after. 😉
  2. Tell Her to “Leave the Laundry Alone!”
Laundry duties are never ending. Give Mom a “Free Laundry Day Coupon” and take care of those heaps of laundry, do her ironing or foot the dry-cleaning bill.
  3. Erase Those Errands
Moms always have a list of errands that they just haven’t had the time to get around to – dropping off donations to Goodwill, returning that ill-fitting sweater to the department store or picking up all items on her grocery list.

Mother’s Day is her day and she should spend it doing exactly what she wants. Give her the freedom and flexibility to get that much-needed rest and relaxation by taking care of her to-do list.

TaskRabbit Mother’s Day Promotion
Almost forgot, in honor of Mother’s Day we’re raffling off a FREE 4-hour Task in honor of busy moms everywhere! These four hours will let TaskRabbit take care of those to-do’s so moms can take care of themselves!

Give your mom the gift of time – click here to enter our Twitter contest. We’ll choose and announce the winner this Friday (5/6) at noon (PST)!

Happy Mother’s Day!
