Putting It All in One Spot

Get Everything in One Location

Simplify, simplify.

Easier said than done. One of the best ways to accomplish this is to designate a home for clutter and make a commitment to returning items to that specific location. Although it seems basic, putting stuff like keys, phones, and wallets in one dedicated spot really does help save time. It seems like a no-brainer, but when you’re in a hurry it is all too easy to throw your keys somewhere without thinking and forget where you put them.

With today’s technology, it’s easy to forget that we must also pay attention to organizing online information such as address books, social media/blogs, and calendars with “To Do” lists. There are various online tools to keep your online and technological resources all in one spot. A favorite in the TaskRabbit office is Google Reader. Instead of visiting your favorite blogs and websites one by one, you can set up the program to collect them all in one spot for your convenience. Why read 20 different websites each day when you can simply scroll through your Google Reader? Ta da! Time saved.

Online organization with your Smartphone can also stretch beyond saving and sharing documents. Google Voice is an outstanding technological element that can help you organize your personal or professional contacts. The service is a Voice over IP that allows you to receive calls over the web. Beyond being free, one of the best features of Google Voice is that it tracks your messages by texting or emailing them to you. No longer do you have to worry that you’ve lost valuable information after deleting a voicemail!

Although they might seem simple, these tools can help simplify your life, both in the real world and online. Once you get into a routine of organizing, you will realize how nice it is to finally know where everything is!

Gonna make a change!

Hi, it’s Rebecca, a marketing consultant working with the expanding team here at RME! You may have noticed a few changes to the website recently. And if not, they were subtle so do not worry! After listening to your feedback, reviewing the site analysis and conducting some unscientific focus groups, we thought we could do a better job of explaining the service, reasons to use RUNmyERRAND and how it all works.

We started with our home page: refining it and making our story, (our chief storyteller, Robbie, would be proud) easier to digest.

We noticed, through our analysis, that many are looking for ideas and reasons why to use RmE. In response to this, we added a new page all about the ways we can help provide solutions.

Finally, we rearranged the page that explains how the service works because we recognized that some people were not getting the answers they needed on the old page.

What do you think? As many of you have successfully used the service, we’d love to hear from you. Tell us what you think of the new pages and about how well the site describes your experience when using RmE!
