The Weekly Runner Report – All the Tasks Fit to Print
Thursday, May 20th, 2010Mother’s Day is Upon Us – An Intervention
Friday, May 7th, 2010Consider this an intervention of sorts.
Look. Do us all a big favor this year and don’t buy mom that gas station bouquet of flowers. She said she liked it because she appreciates every little thing you do, but let’s be honest; you can do better. And those flowers didn’t smell very “flowery” anyway. Your last minute crappy gift ideas are hurting us all.
You have 2 days to get it together.
What can you get for Mom in 2 days or less?
3. Have flowers delivered from your fave floral shop. No time to pick them out and take them to Mom? TaskRabbit Runners are on call to help.
2. Write Mom a note about how much you appreciate her and have it hand delivered. By whom? A TaskRabbit Runner.
1. Give Mom what she really wants! Free up time in her day. Hire a TaskRabbit Runner to do chores for her. You can hire a Runner to help with one chore or a whole days worth of chores. No time to post? Buy Mom a gift card to TaskRabbit. We’ll handle the rest.
We are here to help you find just the right gift for Mom. Call us, email us or chat with us live. We can talk you through this, and maybe this will be the year that your siblings don’t outshine you in the gift-giving realm.
RunMyMarathon Reaches the Finish Line – But the Runners Keep Runnin’
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010Wow – what a day! We’re talking about Boston’s Marathon Monday & how thrilled we were with RunMyMarathon!
To our Marathon Runners (Greg, Jamie, Jim & Kelly) how can we thank you enough for the hard work and perseverance you showed these past few months during training and throughout the course of our fundraising efforts? The Ellie Fund, NFBMA and The Councils on Aging all thank you as well.
To everyone who posted pics of our TaskRabbit Relay Team throughout the day, thank you! We got to see our amazing Relay Team in action at so many different points along the route and it made us so proud to see them so dedicated to reaching their carrot hand-off goals!
Our Runners helped us raise a combined total of $1170.00 for our three amazing charities, and we are already talking about NEXT year’s RunMyMarathon!
Check out some of the pictures from the big event on our Facebook Fan Page at Facebook.com/TaskRabbit.
And view our AMAZING training videos at TaskRabbit.com/Marathon.
In case you missed some of the great stories about us, check us out in the Cambridge Chronicle and the Weston Town Crier and the Boston Examiner!
Thank you to everyone involved in helping us OUTSOURCE AN EXPERIENCE for GREAT CAUSES and thank you for all of the support you showed us along the way!
p.s. IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO SUPPORT OUR CAUSES! Even $5 or $10 helps a lot!
RunMyMarathon – IT’S GO TIME, RABBITS!
Thursday, April 15th, 2010Meet our Relay Rabbits!
These fearless TaskRabbits are supporting our charities by running 4 mile segments of the Boston Marathon & passing their baton-carrot all the way to Boston. They’ll also be camped out at our Runner Rescue Station near the intersection of Route 16 and Route 30 in Newton, at the base of Heartbreak Hill. They’ll be helping marathon runners just like TaskRabbit.com helps our customers each & every day.
Find our Rabbits on Marathon Monday during WinMyMarathon!
If you find one, take a picture and email/tweet/tag it to Amanda@TaskRabbit.com or @TaskRabbit. You could win a fabulous TaskRabbit prize!
Check out this AWESOME video of our Relay Team in training, and find out why we are REALLY running the Boston Marathon!
Have you donated to one (two or three) of our charities? Dig out that change from the sofa cushions and donate it HERE to The Ellie Fund, National Federation of the Blind of Massachusetts or the Councils on Aging! Who would YOU run for?
Join us as we cheer on our MARATHON RUNNERS and our TASKRABBIT RELAY TEAM and our Rabbit Rescue Station located at mile 17. Look for the bunny ears and the GREEN ZipCar!
Happy Tasking!
#RunMyMarathon is off and Running with TaskRabbit!
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010In the midst of all of this excitement surrounding our new NAME, new SITE and new LOGO, we want to remind everyone about our Boston Marathon Experience, RunMyMarathon, which is coming up quickly (4/19 – Marathon Monday!)
TaskRabbit is running the Boston Marathon for THREE local charities and we need YOUR help! Our Runners are all set to run, our Chief Inspiration Officer has been training hard, and we have been working our bunny tails off to raise money for The Ellie Fund, National Federation of the Blind for Massachusetts and the Councils on Aging but we need your support! Dig out that loose change from the sofa and send it to your favorite charity (or two or three…)
Come join us at Heartbreak Hill on Marathon Monday as we help marathon runners with our RABBIT RESCUE STATION (look for the green ZIPCAR and our bunny ears!) where we will be handing out water and other vital necessities for the marathon runners.

Calling All Runners to the Runner Incentive Program!
Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010My Darling Runners,
You are the bread and butter of RME. As I’ve said before, you are the wind beneath our wings. And to reward your amazing abilities we have
instituted the RUNNER INCENTIVE PROGRAM!
Each Runner will receive their own PERSONAL promo code that they can hand out to friends, family, associates, co-workers, parents, kids, neighbors, ANYONE! Email it around, phone your friends, post it on the wall at the gym, Tweet it, Facebook it…post it anywhere you can.
Every time a new user posts an errand with your PROMO CODE, they get $15 off of their first errand and YOU get $5 cold hard cash.
Say you get 20 new users to post an errand. Not only do you make money from running more errands, but you get an extra 5 bucks each time as a bonus! That’s an extra $100 in your pocket. Sweet.
Don’t have a promo code yet? Email AMANDA@RUNMYERRAND.COM and demand that you get your promo code!
Help Us Pick Our New Tagline!
Friday, March 19th, 2010You can pick your friends and you can pick our new tagline but you can’t pick our noses. (Wait, that doesn’t sound right…)
Help us pick our new company tagline! That’s right! The power is in YOUR hands! (Just like HeMan and SheRa.) (They were brother and sister, right? Creepy.)
CLICK HERE to exercise your right to vote!
As we grow we are looking for input from you and your input is invaluable to us (except when we don’t like your input and then we ignore you, but that’s only really when you say you don’t like what we are wearing. And frankly, I like this outfit…)
Thanks for the feedback and have a great weekend!
And if you haven’t done so, check out RunMyMarathon!

The Greatest Article Ever Written About a Start-Up Company.
Thursday, March 18th, 2010As a rule, I’m not one to “oversell” things. And I assure you, I’m not overselling this. BostInnovation just wrote a gloriously poetic, insightful and
inspirational article about the coolest, most downright amazing start-up company in town! (What do you mean who?!) When we read the article, we heard angels singing. THAT’S how good it is.
If you read this article, your life will be better for having done so. Hand to God, it just might change your life (the same way the Shins did in that Garden State movie.)
Woot! Can you feel the love? We can!
Have a look at this life-altering article of awesomeness here and just TRY to tell me that I oversold it. I think you’ll say “you didn’t sell it hard enough.” To which I might agree.
RunMyMarathon with RunMyErrand!
Monday, March 15th, 2010
RME has decided to go big (because we refuse to go home) for the BOSTON MARATHON this year. We will be inviting those who cannot run the marathon to outsource the marathon running to an RME Runner!
We have several expert marathon Runners who have agreed to run the Boston Marathon in lieu of several Bostonians who, for various reasons, are unable to run the marathon themselves. We will also be raising funds in honor of these individuals to be donated to specific charities.
The whole concept behind RunMyMarathon is the idea of outsourcing an experience. Anyone can outsource daily chores or tasks they need help with, but would you outsource an experience to someone else for a good cause? Perhaps you yourself are not able to run a marathon, but would love to be a part of the whole exciting experience. Why not hire a Runner to run for you?
Are you a Runner who wants to be involved or who can run a bit but can’t run a whole marathon? You can still get involved! We still need great Runners to come out and join us in handing out swag along the race route AND we are hiring runners to join our Short Distance* Relay Team!
Email Amanda@RunMyErrand.com for more information on how you can get involved!
*Short distance = 4 miles.
And the Winner is….
Friday, March 5th, 2010The Grand Prize Winner of our RUNNER RALLY $50 Gift Certificate to Chez Henri is….
MARTHA COUGHLIN!
Congratulations Martha! We are thrilled to have you as a New Runner with RunMyErrand and we hope you enjoy your night out at Chez Henri. (side note: Restaurant Week is coming up soon. Might I suggest going to Chez Henri during that time?)
The Runner Rally last night was SO fun! We had 50 attendees and got new Runners signed up and got to hang out and eat cupcakes with our Varsity Runners. We even got to hang out with our Chief Inspiration Officer, Kobe!
We also got loads of great ideas and suggestions from our Brainstorm Board. Thanks to everyone who added to the board. We will be hard at work today getting all of your suggestions and ideas up and running.
Thanks to everyone who turned out and if you didn’t make it to our First Runner Rally, no worries! We will be hosting these monthly! So keep an eye out for our next Runner Rally Evite!
